Thanksgiving 2014

We all met up in Boone again for Thanksgiving with my family.  This year we had Grammy as our special guest (Pop Pop stayed up on the mtn)-- so it was neat to have both of my grandmas there this year.

Friday night, Anne and Nick got into town and we all rushed out to go see the newest Hunger Games movie!  Love our triple date night traditions! (Thank you to Mom, Dad, and Gigi for watching kiddos!)

Saturday, we headed to Raleigh to celebrate with Kyle's family.

Skiing, Christmas Tree & Tubing!

We were so excited to go up to Boone to see some snow!  First up on our list was taking Emery skiing for the first time!

Kyle and her had been practicing at home a couple times before hand :)

She did SO great and never once complained about her feet hurting in the boots or being cold. She loved the magic carpet and even went on the chair lift with Kyle higher up the mountain towards the end.  Proud of our girl! (And a huge thanks to Mom for watching Will so I could go and give Emery confidence too!)

The next day we ventured out again to get our Christmas tree! I love this tradition-- too cold to bring Will this year! 

Once all the cousins came up to Boone, they also all went tubing at Sugar Mtn together.  Emery had a BLAST!

Southern Christmas Show

We had the best time again this year at the Southern Christmas Show here in Charlotte with the Borders!  We skipped it last year together since Lauren was on bed rest, so we truly lived it up this year.  The girls had such a great time seeing all the Christmas stuff, boys were champs taking their naps in the strollers and Lauren and I pretty much laughed our way through every booth because that's what we do when we are together :)

Oh and we took full advantage of the free wine samples this year since we aren't pregnant.  Such a fun day with our besties!

Family Photography!

One weekend we headed to Raleigh for TWO family photography sessions!  One we had planned with Sara to get one for our Christmas Card and document Will at 6 months old!  The other was with Kerry & Brad's photographer to get pictures of all the grandkids as a present for Kyle's parents for Christmas.

I love all the shots that Sara caught of our family with the beautiful fall leaves! (This one was what we used on our Christmas Card)

And then the next photoshoot with the G family side!  She was amazingly patient working with 7 kids all age 4 and under, ha!
