Our final day together...

Sadly, our week with the Dews had to come to an end.  I do want to post a few more random pictures and stories though from our last day together!  Friday was spent at the park, lunch with Jamie's Uncle, and a long nap for Emery since she was getting her top 2 teeth (finally!)!  I do have to share a picture from when Kyle got home from work... can you tell he is loved?!

That night, the adults split up .... by us girls heading to get a pedicure while the guys had a little bonding time of their own.
Tara and I had the best time getting pampered.... it had been a while!
We came home to the babies in bed, and the sound of drilling :)  You see hanging a flat screen tv when you have a tv nook is harder than it looks!  But of course they came up with a plan that worked perfectly!
Once the bracket was installed all that was left was the tv! I'll show the final product in our Father's Day post.. but WOW we love it!  (It just wouldn't be right without someone from my family visiting and us not accomplishing a house project together ;)

Tara and Jamie we can't thank you enough for driving the long distance to come to stay with us for an entire week!  It truly means the world when loved ones come to us, and we had the best time getting to explore all Atlanta has to offer with y'all.  Love you!!!

And all these blog posts about the cousins wouldn't be complete without this next one... oh man it makes me laugh so hard.
How is that for REAL LIFE?

Roswell Splash Park

Thursday afternoon we headed to a Splash Park over in Roswell!  I never knew it was even there (thanks TD!)... how great that it's so close to us!  It only costs $1 per person and so worth it, the kids had a blast!
Mantha was cracking us up going to each hole and trying to eat the water...
The whole Dew Crew...
Emery however was VERY unsure of the water spraying up at her and wanted to be held the whole time.  Hopefully she'll get the hang of it next time we go!
Afterwards we got a quick snack of Popsicles before we headed home for dinner. Even Emery got a bite!
It was a great way to cool off and beat these high temps!  Hopefully we'll go again soon!

Open Play

I've posted before on the music class every Thursday that Emery and I go to at Champion Kids, but never the open play that they offer!  The whole Dew crew accompanied us to Music Class and then afterwards we let them run loose in open play.... and they LOVED it.  The gym has slides, a rope swing into foam pit, mats, bubbles, blow up jump houses & slides, trampolines and more.  Here are a few pictures from our time there!
Had to get a picture of cousin Gunney jumping hard on the trampoline too.  Him and Mike come to music class every Thursday as well, so this time we had 5 of Emery's cousins with us!
Love my sis!!

Ducks at the Park!

After dinner a couple nights, we headed to a nearby park to feed the ducks and play on the playground!  How cute is this shot of the cousins?  I seriously can't believe how big they all are. (Samuel's smiles are TOO MUCH these days!)
Everyone feeds the ducks & geese at this park so they are not afraid of people at all!  They get so close to you to get the bread.
A goose was chasing a duck and got super close to Emery in the process, so the rest of the time she wanted to be held...I don't blame her!  The Nats loved it though!
Pretty pond:
Next was the playground!  The kiddos loved the slides, tunnels, and monkey bars!
Perfect way to get their last bit of energy out before bedtime!

Zoo Atlanta

The Dew Family Visit continues!  On Wednesday morning, we headed to Zoo Atlanta, and this time Kyle and Jamie came along with us.  The zoo is located downtown which is crazy in itself, but actually had a lot of animals there.  Right when you get inside there are tons of flamingos to greet you!
The exhibits were pretty close together, which meant that they didn't have A TON of space to themselves, but it was nice we didn't have to walk really far with the kiddos.  Zebras, gorillas, rhinos, kangaroos, elephants, bears ... I mean they had it all!
And some more animals:
The petting zoo area with goats and sheep:
There was a train that did a small loop around some of the animals as well, and the kids loved it!
Em rode the carousel for the first time too! She particularly loved it once I moved her to an animal that went up and down.  Guess she's used to that "flying" feeling from her daddy :)
We went to the playground last, and of course the kids loved it.  Great way to end our trip to the zoo!
One last pic of the Dews:
And one of our little fam of 3:
Great day with family once again!

The Georgia Aquarium

Tuesday morning, Tara, the 5 kiddos, and I headed to the Georgia Aquarium! Kyle and I had only been once (before we even moved to Georgia!) so it was a long overdue trip especially now that we have Emery!  We had THE BEST morning there together, and the kids absolutely had a ball!
The tunnel where you are completely surrounded by fish is so cool.  We were all blown away by how large some of the fish were!
Emery kept reaching up to show me the fish overhead, totally mesmerized.
A view from one of the windows into the tank:
Our next favorite spot was the huge glass to look into the tank.  Crazy how thick the glass is!
Like I said, Emery was mesmerized...
We then headed over to the inside playground and station where the kids could actually touch some live animals:
We had reservations for the 11:00 showing of Dolphin Tales, so around 10:30 we headed into the stadium to get seats.  This is a new show at the aquarium and it was amazing.  Seriously like sea world good!

It is a full on show, with singing, lights, shooting water, and lots of dolphins and trainers.  You aren't allowed to take any pictures during the show, but this is one I snapped before it started.
I think Nathan's comment at the end completely summed it up.  He turned to Tara and said, "Mommy was that a movie or real life?".
I had to include a picture of the Beluga Whale below, one of my favorites!
We walked through a couple more exhibits before heading out.
Emery was so worn out after the aquarium, she immediately fell asleep once we got in the car.  SUCH A FUN DAY!
