Yes this might like a little tool, but oh my gosh what a difference it makes. Our friends, Cory and Mada, bought this for us last time they were in town and it is amazing. Labs are known for their shedding, but it works wonders on our cats too!
In just minutes:
It pulls off all the dead/loose hair instead of it coming off when you pet the animals. To read all about it click here! Thank you Cory & Mada!
We've been so busy lately I haven't had any time for reading, and I just hate it. We are heading to Isle of Palms this weekend for Tiffin's wedding and I would love to get a new book to read on the beach!! Any recommendations? I would LOVE to hear from you!!!
On Saturday night we met up with my good friend from work, Jen and her husband David at a dueling piano bar for dinner and the show! Kyle and I had never been to one before and it was SO much fun! It was a tapas restaurant, and the food was so fresh and delicious. Around 9:00 the dueling pianos started which was so entertaining! You write your requests down and send it up to the singers with a couple dollars. Both of my requests got played, Michael Jackson and John Mayer! (although he BUTCHERED John Mayer). It was fun to sing along and see which songs they would play next! The crowd was people from like 35-60 so it was a little older then we wanted (since ALL they requested was Elton John, Eric Clapton, Billy Joel) but we still had a great time!!
The girls:Ky and I:Molly and Marshal:Jen and David:Thanks Jen for letting us come on your "date night", we had a great time!! And a huge thanks for Molly and Marshal for coming down for the weekend... we had so much fun with you guys as always!
This weekend our friends Molly and Marshal came into town, unbelievably we hadn't seen them since their wedding in May! (a long time for us to go!) We met up with Chris and Kathleen on Saturday morning to head to "Up The River Outfitters" in Buford, GA to float down the Chattahoochee River. WE LOVE floating the river and this time we got tubes-- even more relaxing! We ended up loving the "flower power" position... all of us circled around our extra tube full of coolers with drinks and snacks in them, and were strapped to eachother! It was SUCH a relaxing way to spend a Saturday!
Even saw some wildlife!
The water was FREEZING, and we don't just mean a little chilly-- it was so cold if you put your feet in it for longer than 2 seconds they went numb! Luckily the tubes did not have holes in the middle, which saved our butts from being frozen solid! The temperature outside was perfect though and we were all able to get some sun. Sadly this was Kyle's and my FIRST TIME in our bathing suits this summer!
After we finished (3 hours later) they said to get out at the first bridge. It's an old railroad bridge and of course every guy there was jumping off. It was pretty nerve racking for all the wives, but the guys had a blast jumping off and were glad they did it!All the guys: Kyle (left) Marshal (center) Chris (right) You might have to click on this picture to actually see them!
After they swam as fast as they could back to the shore... SOO cold:
The girls on dry land where it was warm!SO much fun!
Friday night we headed to a BRAVES GAME!! Jamie's grown up being a fan of the braves his whole life, so we thought it was only fitting to make sure we went to one! They were playing the Mets and ended up killing them 12-0 or something like that! Didn't know the Mets were so terrible! It was still fun to see so many home runs from our team! (**forgot to mention that our good friends Chris and Kathleen babysat the kids while we went to the game... thank you both so much!!)
Kyle and I:Another group shot!
We had so much fun at the game doing all the cheers and chants for the Braves! Afterward they had a free fireworks show which was amazing and a treat to end the night with!
The next morning we woke up and had some yummy pancakes! Kyle loves cooking breakfasts, look at that pancake stack!
The cutest smile EVER:
Next we headed over to Kennesaw Battlefield for the kids to see the cannons and play around. We went on a little walk and had a great time!Kyle's so good with them! He flips them all over the place and they love it!
Thank you so much Tara & Jamie for making the trip down to our house! WE LOVED having you stay with us-- wish we were closer!
This past weekend, my sister and her whole family came to visit Kyle and I! We have been talking about it FOREVER and I'm so glad it finally worked out for them to come. They ended up coming Wednesday through Saturday, but it was a jam packed time that's for sure!
They stopped by my work on their way in so Tara could see the office and meet all my friends! The product girls gave the twins a jo-jo and the cow, and they loved them!
After heading home I gave Tara and Jamie a tour of our house (even though they'd seen a gazillion pictures of it) and then headed up to the square!
The kiddos loved playing on the train playground and seeing the fountain.
We walked just a little more to Marietta Pizza Company where we all had dinner together!
Thursday after work Kyle came back in town (was in TN for work) and so we all sat down for a chicken parm dinner! The kiddos!! SO cute knowing our names now!
Then we went to the couch... Jamie and Kyle wasting their life away looking at impossible things on the internet:
And tara and I watching So You Think You Can Dance.. the best show EVER!
Wish we lived closer so these fun events can happen more often!!
What a wonderful birthday celebration I had! It actually started last Friday night when my mom and dad came into town! We went out to Ippolito's (an Italian chain in ATL) and had some delicious food! The free rolls there are to die for, and after eating Tortellini, an Italian football, Spinach and Cheese Cannelloni, and a Calzone they brought out the birthday Cannoli. We waddled out of there, very very happy! The next celebration was Sunday night after we had finished the backsplash, as we took mom and dad to our favorite Mexican restaurant, La Parilla! It was delicious, and they loved it just as much as we thought they would! Monday morning (my actual birthday) I came into work to find MORE FOOD! All of my work ladies had made all of our favorites -- homemade pimento cheese, tortelini on sticks, donuts, and fruit! Jen even made me a new recipe-- fun fetti inside of icecream cones! All of the food was absolutely delicious! As if that wasn't enough eating for the day: Jen, Lacey and I met Kyle for lunch! He has class for his MBA that night, so we wanted to eat and celebrate with him! The girls made me wear a birthday sash-- it was just a little embarrassing haha
Lacey and Jen:
All of us:
We came back had a couple meetings, then Donna let us out early since it was my birthday! Lacey and I had planned on going to the Melting Pot, since she had never been and it was going to be a birthday celebration for both of us! Kyle decided to skip class and come with us, and we all had SUCH a great time!

We laughed SOO hard at dinner... fun fun fun!
AND just incase you couldn't tell from the backsplash photos... I GOT A NEW CAMERA FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!! It actually came with another longer lens, camera bag, charger, etc! Thank you so much to all of my family members for pitching in and to Kyle for making it all happen. I am definitely in love, and can't WAIT to take awesome pictures in August! I can't thank you all enough, I absolutely love it!
