So long Levi!

After only 9 short months of fun with Levi, Kyle decided it was time to sell. Kyle and I get pretty attached to cars and are both sad to see Levi go, but that's not to say we'll get another one in a couple years! He was able to complete so many projects on the jeep, and sold Levi for more than we paid to begin with. What a blessing that was!!
We sure have enjoyed riding with the top and doors off around Marietta with Tyson hanging out the back. There is no doubt that the new owner will have the time of his life driving Levi too. So instead of saying "goodbye" we'll just say "so long"... he sure will be missed!

Okay, its Kyle and I’m blogging again. Leah introduced everyone to Levi a few weeks ago and I wanted to let everyone know what is going on with him. He is running great and has been a lot of fun to drive.

My only issue has been that when I have been driving it I have been getting killer headaches. The reason is because the exhaust turned out right under the doors and when I was sitting at stop lights I was getting nailed with exhaust fumes. I decided that I wanted to run the exhaust all the way out the back (like most vehicles) so I won’t feel like I am sucking on an exhaust pipe and it will also make the Jeep a little quieter which I think the neighbors will appreciate…

I put up a posting on craigslist to see if anyone had stock exhaust that they were selling and I found a whole set up (manifolds, tail pipes and mufflers) for $50…what a deal. I ended up having to buy two new mufflers, some hardware and some gaskets so the deal ended up not being quite as good, but it was a lot cheaper than if I had taken it to a shop or paid for all new parts and the project is done! I also had to get a new battery tray because until now the battery was held in place by a bungee cord (and that was about it) and as soon as that comes in tomorrow the Jeep will be back in one piece.

... well maybe except for the fact that I have taken the stereo and all of the speakers out because the previous owner had done a pretty horrible wiring job, to the point where if you honked the horn the radio shut off…haha. I have run all of the new speaker wires and re-positioned a couple of the speakers so that it will sound better and I just need to get a couple of splices and I should get it all back together tomorrow night.

Other things that I have done since I had it are: Got rid of a lot of random wires that did nothing, fixed the hood latch, fixed the driver’s seat and repaired and installed a bikini top (Thanks to Leah’s sewing skilllsssss).

All I really have left that I want to do is install a tire carrier on the back, oil change, transmission fluid change, some seals need to be changed and some other routine maintenance type stuff.

Not sure how many of our blog readers care about this, but I just wanted to give an update...

Wordless Wednesday: LEVI!

Kyle is done with his MBA program!

That's right after almost 2 years in school while working full time, Kyle officially is done with classes for his MBA!! (Masters of Business Administration).

I am so proud of him for all of his hard work, and being dedicated to get this done so fast and early in his career! We have gotten in a routine of Monday & Tuesday being class nights, Wednesday being group meeting nights and Thursday is our one night together to eat dinner and pack for our weekend travels. We aren't going to know what to do, being able to spend time together EVERY NIGHT. WOO HOO!!!
