Pumpkin Carving!

Last night Kyle and I finally got the chance to carve our pumpkins! Our time together during the week is pretty limited since he has class Tuesday & Wednesday nights, Thursday nights we normally are packing, and then we leave down almost every Friday after work! We had a lot of fun though. For some reason every year, I always seem to forget how disgusting pumpkins feel inside.

Leah looking like hers:
I also picked up some other cute decorations at the grocery store:
We both LOVE that fall is finally here!
Okay now who do you think should win the best pumpkin design vote?!

Joey Jog & NC State Fair!

We had SUCH a great weekend, spent in NC! After sitting in Atlanta for over an hour and only going 3 miles... we finally made it to Charlotte, NC to stay the night with newly engaged Molly & Marshal! We hadn't seen them since their engagement so we had to celebrate with something we all dearly love... Ice cream sundaes! We of course stayed up talking until around 1:30 am then finally made ourselves head to bed. Thank you guys so much for letting us stay with you!

Kyle and I woke up around 6:30 since we had to head to Chapel Hill, NC for the Joey Jog. Joey, who died at the age of 2 from Acute Liver Failure, was celebrated and remembered on Saturday which would have been her 4th birthday. The Joey Jog was a 5k going through some neighborhoods around the UNC campus. To start off her uncle Bill read her eulogy and played a beautiful video of pictures of Joey. (For all of you that don't know, Joey was Sara's cousins daughter). Over the past two years, they've raised over $60,000 for the American Liver Foundation.
Sara & I:
All the runners: (everyone else mainly walked!)
It rained almost the whole time we were running, which felt SO good, but by the end we were soaking wet! Nick and Kerry met us there to run, which was SO nice of both of them! It was great to see Sara & be a part of such an awesome day!

We then headed to Kerry's house to see the whole Guenther family. Kyle's parents move out next week into their new house that they've been building. We got a chance to walk through it... so pretty! THEN we headed to the fair!!

Kerry, Brad, Rachel, Kyle and I walked into the fair and immediately went straight to the infamous corn stand! I've been growing up going to this stand for years and I look so forward to it!
Rachel, Brad and I posing "corny":
We then went to the water shooting games. Kyle and I have had a bet going for a little while now about who could beat who... AND he won of course! We picked out an Elmo that we gave to the twins!
I was so excited that Rachel enjoyed going on rides! Usually I can't go on any b/c Kyle gets sick on them! Our favorite one to go on was "Freak Out" which spins around and swings up and down in the air. It was very fun! There were no lines which was so nice! (We also went on the Gravitron... which is totally a Baker tradition!)
Freak Out deserved a jump shot:
Kyle did go on a couple rides with me this time though, I was so proud! We first went on the Himalaya... Kyle had fun making silly faces into the camera every time we came around.
Pretending we're getting sick:
He then dragged me on this one:
I was so scared b/c we just kept going higher and higher and there is no sign when you are just going to drop straight down! Luckily we both made it through and had fun doing it together!

Our next stop was for more food including: bloomin' onion, pizza, chicken pita, caramel apple, root beer float, ribbon fries and of course the NC State Ice Cream to finish the night off. It was all so delicious... look at the precious couple who always serves us the root beer float:
Kyle's favorite ribbon fries with cheese:
There is a fireworks show everynight, and it was awesome! We had so much fun and can't wait to go back again next year! There truly is just no place like the NC State Fair!!
Sunday morning we had a great breakfast with the Guenthers/Cresses and got a chance to catch up with everyone. We headed to meet my family to eat around 1:00 at Briar Creek. It was so nice of them to drive and meet us half way! Jamie had to stay home with the twins so we didn't get to see them this time, but thanksgiving we will!
Great to see you all! What a fun weekend!

Congrats to Molly & Marshal!!

You can read the entire story HERE but we wanted to announce it on our blog as well! This past Saturday our great friends, Marshal & Molly, got engaged!!
They took a day trip up to the Biltmore in Ashville, NC just for fun since neither one of them had ever been there before. They toured around the house, and then Marshal told Molly that he had arranged a picnic with the Biltmore to be set up for them for lunch. They arrived at the gazebo to see the food packaged for them along with a sign that said "reserved for Livingstone".
Kyle and I have known about all of Marshal's plans for a while, so we got to help out a little! Kyle helped bounce tons of ideas around with Marsh about adding little touches to make the day totally perfect. I made a sign for Marsh to print out to make it official, and it worked-- Molly really thought the Biltmore had set it up :) Little did she know that her sister, Kelly, & her boyfriend, Adam (who we went to Hilton Head with) were hiding in the bushes taking pictures, AND had set everything up.
This is our favorite picture... right after Marsh told Molly they were hiding in the bushes:
Also as a surprise, Molly's best friend, Mandy, FLEW IN from NY just for the engagement, so when she popped out of the bushes as well-- Molly just lost it!
The gorgeous ring:
Marshal also had planned ahead a dinner for that night, and surprised Molly by having their whole family help them celebrate as well!
What a wonderful day for these two, we are so excited about the upcoming plans & wedding!

Dobbins Air Show

On Saturday, Kyle and I watched the Air Show that Dobbins Airforce Base was putting on. It's about 2 miles down the road from our house, so we always hear jets/helicopters/etc flying over us all the time, but it was so neat actually watching what all those machines are capable of.
They were only allowing people in by bus, and having to go through 2 security points was making the line SOO long. Kyle and I decided to just drive down the road to go watch it in a field by our house. We could still see most of it, and it was just amazing! THIS
was the schedule of everything that happened.
The beginning of the show had all these parachuters:
This is when one of the jets flew right over us:
The Thunderbirds... 6 jets flying perfectly in sinc!
Flying away:
Here is a video.. they would do all these barrel turns then just go straight up into space!

Of course my pictures & video don't do it justice. It was SO loud when they would fly over you. The F-18 was pretty cool, and so were the Thunderbirds!
It was a fun day sitting outside with Kyle watching the show, we even got a little sun on our faces!

Our little vicodin boy!

We wanted to give you all an update on Tyson! Kyle picked him up last night around 5:00, and when he brought him home Tyson barely recognized me! He was SOO out of it. The vet told us that when Tyson woke up from the surgery he immediately wanted to play, so they had to give him an extra dose of the sedative. Poor guy!

Once he came home we had to block off the water from him... unfortunately that's the ONLY thing he wanted (must have been a side effect from the drugs). Finally around 7:00 he could drink & eat a little bit, so that made him happy! During this whole process our doorbell rang, and there was our neighbor, Serina, with a sweet little present! Her & her husband, Chris, are fellow animal lovers and have really helped out in the past with watching the cats and taking out Tyson for us when we can't make it home in time! Anyways it was a sweet note written from their border callie "Bella"... we were blown away with how thoughtful she was!
Today he's been doing great, but he's whimpering a little from the pain.
He's not licking his incision at all so that is very good news... no e. collar needed! We could finally give him another pain pill tonight, and he returned to his normal self! (with a few quirks)

We wanted to show you guys though how he acts when he's on these pain pills... it is just hilarious! For example, when we give him a bone WE NEVER see him anymore until it's done. He will go lay on his bed and eat the entire thing, never getting up in the process. Well when we gave him a bone this time all he wants us to do is play with him with it. He's not even eating it! haha how we love our little vicodin boy :)

Tomorrow is the Day.

Tomorrow morning, all of Tysons' sense of pride and manhood will be taken away from him, poor guy. We have finally taken the step to get him neutered. Kyle and I both feel so terrible for waiting this long to get this procedure done, but there was an opening at our vet this week so we signed him up. I dropped him off tonight so he can have his blood work done, and then we'll pick a very loopy tyson up tomorrow around 5. Then we are supposed to keep him on a leash and calm for the next 10 days... we'll see how that goes! (might have to hide all the frisbees in sight!) If you wouldn't mind saying a little prayer that the surgery goes well and there are no complications, we would totally appreciate it as he is our baby!!
P.S. I'm TOTALLY going to be one of those moms that cries while my kids go to kindergarten. I welled up as soon as I left Tyson at the vet to get this done!! I'm such a mess!!

Tuesday fun!

You guys think you had a good day yesterday?! WELL I think I might have you beat :)
Andrea, Lacey and I carpooled to work, as usual, arrived at 9 and worked till around 12. THEN we hopped in the car along with Jen (Skippy), Christina, Rachel, Amanda, Gina, and Emily and went to Christina's house to go play Rock Band for our lunch break! Christina lives really close, so we all had time to eat and play about 4 rounds! It was my first time playing, but dang IT IS SO FUN!
Emily, Lacey, Amanda, Jen, Rachel, Gina & Christina:
(we make up the entire product & marketing department... except for our bosses)
The first time I was laughing so hard I was almost crying b/c I was sitting right next to Jen who was having a little difficulty on the drums.... I mean it was just so funny. I haven't laughed that hard in a while!! We might start making this a monthly thing... all of us had a blast!
Look at how hard I'm laughing... I could barely play the guitar!
We came back to work till 5, then headed over to Jen's for a sleepover! Yes, we are all grown women having a sleepover on a work night, but we just had a blast! We ordered some pizza and then make some delicious strawberry daquiris to go with it!
Jen & I:
Andrea & Lacey:
While eating, we played "Never Have I Ever" board game... I thought for sure I would win, but Jen ended up killing us all! (she just got some really lucky rolls!) It was funny, and we learned a ton about each other. For some reason I was the one who everyone chose to do their "dares" on... so I had to sing "I'm a little teapot" all by myself and other silly things!

After dinner, Lacey brought "Ya Ya Sisterhood" which none of us had seen, so we watched that. Jen's dog, was absolutely adorable and cuddled with me the entire time! Amazingly all of us stayed awake the whole time but headed to bed around 12! Lacey & Andrea slept together, so I got an entire bed to myself! What a treat!
Lacey & I in the back, then Andrea, Jen & her dog, Molly!
We all woke up this morning, ate some breakfast together and then headed to work! It was so nice of Jen to invite all of us over for a girls night! She lives a lot closer to the office then the rest of us do, so it was nice to not have to make our long commute yesterday! Fun Fun Day!

Let's Get Ethical, Ethical! I want to get Ethical, lets get into Ethics Yeah!

(Sorry I couldn't think of a header for this boring post, and those who are addicted to The Office, like we are, will understand where I got that from :) And here is a little picture incase you forgot... haha)
OKAY SO getting back to our weekend... what did we do you ask?! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING! I tell you what, our blog would be so boring if we kept this up but we could get used to it!
Saturday morning Kyle woke up early to go mountain biking with a bunch of the guys from the church. He had a great time and came back with some funny stories. While I went and got my hair done, Kyle cleaned the entire house and did our laundry... man I am one lucky woman :) Besides hanging around our house all weekend, we did manage to walk up to the square Saturday night and go to La Parilla... where Lacey ordered the "Taco Loco", and Kyle & I got our delicious burritos. We also played some guitar hero when we got home.
Yesterday Kyle woke up early again to go wakeboarding with some of our neighbors. He came home just in time to make it for church with Lacey & I. We tried the "theater" out this time and it was awesome! Instead of going to the main chapel, there is an upstairs theater where they have younger people doing the worship songs, and then you watch the pastor on the screen for the sermon. The sound was so good though that I kept thinking he was standing right there infront of us. It was awesome, we are really glad we tried it out. They used bongos, electric violins and a lot more... very very cool!

The 3 of us then got some lunch then went home to change into our exercise clothes to go walk up Kennesaw Mountain. Lacey had never been up there before, since she's from Alabama she's not really used to mountains or hiking, per say. She really loves some flat, farm land :) *I have pictures but they are stuck on my camera and I'm not sure when I can get them off!* Kyle and I went on a bike ride later that night, and then headed to sleep.
Hope you all had great weekends as well :)

Beautiful, beautiful Boonetown!

SO this weekend we ended up in Boone! We had planned to meet Sara & Joe camping this weekend at a couple other places, but had a last minute change the day before to meet at the cabin in Boone! Luckily it came available, so we could all stay there!
Kyle and I took 221 up there Friday night, and it was just beautiful. We stopped about 30 minutes outside of Boone in Linville Gorge and drove up the mountain to see all the beautiful stars. It was pitch dark outside and so peaceful. We ended up going to sleep pretty soon after we arrived at the cabin, since we're still fighting off this terrible cold!
Saturday morning we woke up and headed to King Street to walk around downtown Boone and see all the homecoming festivities. We went to the bookstore and bought a new hat for Kyle and a new sweatshirt for myself! We both just love walking around and taking everything in there. Sara and Joe arrived around 10:30 (we got out of downtown just as the parade was starting!) and we went to the cabin to help them unload their things and make a plan as to what we would be doing for the day! We decided to go to the Ham Shoppe to pick up a picnic lunch and bring it to the Valley Crusis park. We let the dogs swim, and the weather couldn't have been more perfect.
We dropped the dogs off and then headed over to Howard's Knob to look at the gorgeous views from there. We could even hear the game going on... don't you worry I did a little bit of the fight song dance! Sara took a belly shot with the view in the background... can't believe in May there will be a little baby in the picture!
Sara and I:
The entire ASU campus:
We walked around downtown Boone for a little while, going to a bunch of outdoorsy stores and Mast General to get some candy! There was a cute little 4-man country bluegrass band playing inside-- I could have sat there for days and listened. For dinner we grilled out some cheeseburgers and then watched IronMan. It was REALLY good! Sara headed to bed, so Kyle, Joe & I all went down and sat by the fire they had made. It was very relaxing, with no wind so the smoke just went straight up! No smores though... just wasn't in the mood!Sunday morning we had a wonderful breakfast made by Kyle, and all devoured our breakfast burritos. We then headed to Blowing Rock for the afternoon to walk around the shops, people watch, and see the changing leaves. We stopped back by Hokaido on the way back to the cabin... man do we love that Japanese food! After cleaning we all sluggishly got on the road around 3:00 to get back to our homes by a decent time. We had such a wonderful, relaxing weekend in one of our favorite places and are so glad that Sara & Joe could come spend it with us. Thank you both for making the drive, we had a great time!!

Our New Office!

SO this week we officially made the move over to our new office in Duluth (33 miles from our house)! Lacey & I are carpooling everyday now, which is helping out a ton... we are just both so excited to be with this great company. I could not wait to show you guys pictures... we just moved in yesterday so nothing is organized quite yet! It's great to be with a company that enjoys being girly!
Our lobby:
2 story foyer with pink & brown curtains on all windows:
Foyer table:
Our board room: (the table comes in on friday!)
Leah & Lacey's desks: (we decided to be open to each other since we work together so much)
The name cards up close that I made for everyone! (YES they love them! I am finally working with people who love crafts & decor as much as I do!)
Anyways I'm sure I'll put more pictures up later once we get organized. Our marketing room is real spacious and we all love it. We used to be in cubicles, so these nice wooden desks with hutches are such a treat! It looks 10x better in person! Lacey & I went to Ikea this morning and picked up the orange and pink lamps for everyone in our department... so cute!
