Boone Snow!

We had planned to meet Kyle's whole family up in Boone in February for a little ski trip, but the weather was going to be so cold we rescheduled.  Thankfully, we did reschedule as the pipes at the cabin had frozen and it was a total mess (quite literally) throughout the weekend trying to fix it.  We did have fun enjoying the beautiful snow up there... I'm so grateful for the cabin and the time our family gets to spend up there!

Love Will's hat from Jeneane!
Fun sledding Saturday morning in the driveway:

And Sunday once all the snow was melting, Kyle took Em and Will sledding on the way out of town :)

Huntersville Snow!

We had so much fun playing in the snow we had here in February!  Two separate times we were blessed with some beautiful snow that made for a lot of fun with the kiddos, especially Emery.  The first time was more ice than snow, which worked great for sledding.  Kyle worked from home in the morning, so while Will was napping and Kyle was on a conference call-- Emery and I ventured out to sled down one of our neighborhood roads.  Tyson had a blast running along side of us, too.
Will's first time seeing snow!
Emery wanted to play in the snow all day, so she ventured outside to play and Will and I stayed inside  with the window open :)
Fun with the slide:

And bringing it inside to play with too:
The next time it snowed, it was super heavy snow which was so pretty, and made for perfect snowmen!  Kyle was able to stay at home all day too which was super fun.  He makes the best snowman and walked around the golf course with Em to sled some!

Valentine's Day

We had a pretty low key Valentine's Day this year just hanging out with our family!  Will had been fighting off a cold and was teething, so we ran errands and let him nap out on us throughout the day.  A fun little decorated table, special surprises for Em, a chaotic family dinner that left us laughing, and a movie with Kyle once the kiddos were asleep.... fun day!

Daddy Daughter Date Nights!

Emery and Kyle have had two really fun outings lately, and these pictures are too cute not to post.  The first was heading to the Checkers Hockey game together (thanks to Warren for tickets in the box!).  Em was so excited to dress up in red and black, put on eye shadow and wear her locket with Daddy's picture inside :)
The next date night was an early Valentine's Day celebration, out to Chick-fil-A.  They host special nights every now and then, so Kyle called and got a reservation and took Emery out to it.  She picked out a fancy dress and Kyle even brought a corsage home for her to wear!  Melt.my.heart.

Escorting her out:

They had tables set up with table cloths, menus, numbers and candles.  Emery's completely natural smile shows how much fun she was having with Daddy!
I'm so thankful for Kyle and how much he loves us.  Work is ALWAYS crazy for him and I'm grateful that he still puts so much effort into our family and making us all feel special!

DIY Crib Rail Teething Cover

Well, I walked into Will's room the other day to find him standing up in his crib... big boy!  While I was trying to get a picture of him, he bent down and started chomping on his crib rail... AHH!

Emery never chewed on the crib!  I looked over to the side rail and damage was already done...

I quickly googled "DIY Crib Rail Teething Cover" and came across this super easy tutorial using fleece!  I love that it cost me less than $2 total to make and is washable and custom to our crib!  I had some padding laying around the house so I stuck that underneath my fleece to make it even softer for our boy.  He seems to love it :)

Testing it out :)
