Project Number 1: Under Cabinet Lighting!

This weekend my parents came in town to help us put under cabinet lighting and a tile back splash up in our kitchen, as a birthday present for me! It took a little longer than we expected since we wanted to do all the wiring behind the wall to look cleaner! The lighting that we bought had little areas to add in our wires, so that was hard too. But in the end it looked great, and makes SUCH a difference!!

SO we first cut the dry wall:

Next we drilled holes in the 2x4's and ran all the wires through. Dad loved having a woman helper with my little arms to reach behind the walls and thread the wire through!And the wiring is done!
Next step is to run all the wires into each light... this was the hard part I was talking about. Here are both guys working on it!
The corner one wasn't easy either... dad decided to get comfortable!
