Wordless Wednesday: Tyson Art

(Okay so maybe this one won't be wordless. These drawings are from Kyle's bosses kids about Tyson! Their sweet family is always willing to watch Tyson for us when we go on vacation. They absolutely love him and we are so grateful! Thank you Nortons!)

Book Club: Dear John!

Last month our book club book was Dear John written by my all time favorite author, Nicholas Sparks. I love that no matter what's going on I can always get lost in his books and finish them in a day or two.... just love it.

So here we are: Jeanine, Holly, Jillian, Jennifer, Lauren, Stephanie and me:

Well last Friday our book club met at Holly's house and we all had such a great night together. We discussed the book while eating dinner, and then headed out to go see the movie! I was the only one who had seen the movie so I had to keep quiet during the discussion since I knew that the movie was SO different than the book. WAY different endings-- and we like the movie ending better! Of course the book had so many more details and I always love books better than the movies themselves!
I have never laughed so hard in a serious movie before in my life. We definitely were those annoying girls in the back row. Holly kept being like "this is my favorite part" and leaning really close to the people in front of her... when really it wasn't in the book so she had NO IDEA what was going on. Oh my gosh we just laughed so hard, I truly needed it!

Thank you girls for such a wonderful night, I can't wait to meet again next month!!P.S. My favorite song from the movie is "This is the thing" by Fink. (I 'shazamed' it while in the movie theater on my iphone!)

Telluride 2010!

Man did we really take a vacation?? It already seems like it was forever ago, even though we just got back from it was last week! AHH.
Thursday, February 25th we headed out to Telluride, CO for a snowboarding trip with Kyle's family. We had a wonderful "mini" vacation, consisting of 3 full days snowboarding and 2 days traveling. Friday we had the bluest sky and then Saturday and Sunday we got a little snow which is always nice too!

The condo that we stayed in was just perfect. 4 stories, 4 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms! Not to mention it was right off of my favorite run.. Sundance. It was so nice just walking right to the slopes... I really liked that part.

Our whole group Saturday. Kerry's best friend Cory and her husband (who live in Durango) came and skied with us one day:
Mr. G & Cuzzie ready to ski. And Kyle helping me put me put on my new heated boots! (My feet always fall asleep within an hour of snowboarding, so these boots have battery packed heaters that help keep the circulation going!)
We went back to the condo every day for lunch, and we cooked dinner almost every night. It was nice sitting in the hot tub to relax our sore muscles!

The resort had a downhill ski run open where you had to weave in and out of the gates. Kyle and Brad competed twice and had a blast doing it! I think my favorite area was Prospect Bowl for sure.

Our last night we rode the gondola into town for dinner. It was fun walking around and eating some good food!
It was really nice to get away for a little bit! Great vacation for sure!

Burton hooked us up!!

After last season we bought a new pair of snowboard boots for me (that had heaters built in... talk about spoiled!) from Burton. We had to return them for a different size recently, and since Burton's policy is to get returns done in less than a week and they took 2 weeks for us... WE GOT HOOKED UP!!
I now have brand new: fingerless knit gloves, a long sleeved tshirt, a short sleeved tshirt, a hat, a clutch purse, and stickers! Love it when companies own up to their mistakes and do things to make you keep coming back!! Has this ever happened to you guys??

Top 3 Thursday: Movies

Okay so this weeks Top 3 Thursday is our favorite movies! These were SO easy for me to pick...

1) How to Lose A Guy in 10 Days
I have seen this movie 5,000 times. Just absolutely love these two actors and the plot.
2) The Notebook
I just think this is the sweetest movie ever, and LOVE these actors.
and last but definitely not least 3) Sister Act 2: Back in the Habit
I know every word and dance move to every song in this movie... I just love it!

Okay now here are Kyle's favorites!
1) The Goonies
He knows every word in this movie too... it's hilarious.
(... But the worst thing I ever done - I mixed a pot of fake puke at home and then I went to this movie theater, hid the puke in my jacket, climbed up to the balcony and then, t-t-then, I made a noise like this: hua-hua-hua-huaaaaaaa - and then I dumped it over the side, all over the people in the audience. And then, this was horrible, all the people started getting sick and throwing up all over each other. I never felt so bad in my entire life.)
2) Home Alone
Kyle loves this movie and watches it every Christmas Eve with his sisters
3) The Hangover
He laughed for hours over this movie and still sings the tiger song haha

The Sams are here!!

On Saturday my sister delivered her second set of boy/girl twins! Samantha Lynn was born at 10:49 am, weighing 6 lbs 10 oz and Samuel David was born at 10:50 am, weighing 7 lbs 4 oz. What big babies they are-- such an answer to prayer! The Sams have been able to be in my sisters hospital room the entire time, and they are all heading home today!

Since Kyle and I were in CO at the time, we got lots of phone calls and texts updating us on the status! Here are a couple of pictures when Kyle and I got the news-- so exciting!!

Wordless Wednesday: Kyle's MBA is official!

(3 things that I have to say: 1)The day he 'graduated' it was our 3 year anniversary... very cool! 2) I DID take our last name out JUST to be safe, I promise there isn't that big hole in it normally. 3) We will be framing this soon and putting it in his office!)

It's the little things

Last weekend when Kyle was away for Cory's bachelor party I found this on my pillow when I headed up to go to sleep.
And then this one was on Kyle's pillow (where Tyson sleeps when Kyle's out of town):
