We had a wonderful Chrsitmas Eve around here spent with our family of three enjoying Kyle's time off work. We headed to the Christmas Eve service at our church where Emery stayed with us the whole time and LOVED singing all the familiar songs and seeing all the candles. She was really sad when we had to blow her candle out!
Once home we read the last book of our advent and then took pictures by the tree!
We also started the tradition last year of letting Emery open one present of Christmas pjs the night before. Unfortunately I couldn't find Christmas pjs last minute so pink penguin ones it was :)
And lastly getting the cookies, milk, and carrots ready for Santa and his reindeer!
So grateful for the quality time we had with Emery this Christmas, taking our time doing everything and really focusing on the traditions we want to do with her!

What beautiful pictures of your last Christmas as a family of three! That candlelight photo is absolutely precious, as is the smile on Em's face as she gets to open a present Christmas Eve. So blessed to see the tradition of the Christmas Story book being continued, with each little book hung on your tree. You are establishing such wonderful traditions for your family.
Oh my goodness, what a beautiful blog post! The candlelight photo is priceless! Emery looks like an angel! How neat that you took her to the Christmas Eve service and that she was able to participate and sing along. I just can't say enough about how much I enjoy your blog posts.
