Since we were already in Shelby on Saturday it worked out perfectly to drive up to Boone for the night to see my family and celebrate Mother's Day that morning with them. It was such a quick trip I didn't take any photos, so I'm stealing them from my Mom's post!
On Saturday night, we got to visit with my Uncle David and his wife, Shannon. Always great to see you two!

Emery loves Grandpa, and was having so much fun playing with him. I love this video and the conversation they have in the middle... so typical Emery!
The next morning we made Monkey Bread and just relaxed a couple hours before we had to head back to Atlanta.

Love the upside down picture!! So fun. And her hair is SOOO long!! When did it start really growing when she was little? I am waiting for K's bald spots to fill in finally... haha...
ridiculously cute!! mm, i love her dark silky hair. and that is exactly how ben talks... single syllables like they mean something really important. :) can't wait to squeeze her soon!

The time went by all too quickly that weekend. But it was so much fun! Emery kept us smiling the whole time she was awake. What a joy she was. It was great seeing my sone David and his wife Shannon too!
What a treat it was for us to spend time with Leah, Kyle and 'little E'! Emery is so mobile and talkative these days and is such a happy girl. Thanks for making the extra drive up from Lauren's to spend a day with us. WE.LOVED.IT!!!
Miss you all terribly already! Loved your visit and can't wait to see you again!
