Once everyone had left from the weekend, Emery and I stayed up at the cabin for the rest of the week to visit with Lauren and Merrin! We were excited to see each other and just have some fun girl time reminiscing about our Freshman and Sophomore years at ASU together. We really do have some hilarious memories from those years and laughed about them all week.
It was so fun to see Merrin up and walking with no cast on her leg anymore! She LOVED carrying around the dog bowls on the porch.
After getting them unpacked, we headed to the creek to let Tyson swim and let the girls throw some rocks into the water. It was very apparent that there aren't many creeks in Shelby :) haha
Merrin was sitting down in the water constantly... but at least she had her Keens on!
Once back home at the cabin, they also enjoyed talking to each other and pointing at things outside:
Tuesday we headed to Macados for lunch and laughed almost the entire way through lunch. The kids are truly getting to an age where they don't love high chairs and we now have to eat FAST!
We spent most of our time playing on the porch though as the weather was perfect!

Both nights after the girls went down, Lauren and I stayed up talking till late. It's so fun to catch up in person and not have anything we had to get done either night. Wednesday, we headed to the playground to get some energy out before Lauren and Merrin had to head home.
We did however ask for someone to take our picture this time so it would at least be centered!
And one last picture of the girls together on the swing. I can't believe how big they both are!
Emery was sad to see Merrin go, but quickly went back over to her rock pile to distract herself :) Thank y'all again for coming, WE LOVED our time with you!

SO multiple things here. 1. We are amazing Moms 2. We have plenty of creeks in Shelby we just choose not to visit them. 3. None of those pictures are FAILS. I think they look great! Can't wait for a few more months and then we can really start our invention! Thanks for having us to the mountains, we had a great time of course!
Loved everything about this post, from the pictures, to the commentary, to the time you guys got to spend together. I still can't believe that you all both had girls that are so close in age! Best friends already :)

Looks like the two little ones weren't too keen on whoever was taking that group picture at the park...haha! Love seeing you two awesome moms with your baby girls. So happy for a few days to reminisce.
