Wednesday afternoon, we set off for the coast! We had an awesome lunch in downtown Napa and then headed for Valley Ford. On our way we were planning to stop at a winery (since we drove through Napa Valley and Sonoma) but ended up running out of time... bummer. Wine country was beautiful though and we enjoyed seeing the rolling hills covered in vines.
Before long we made it to Valley Ford where Kyle's cousin owns a restaurant and hotel called Rocker Oysterfellers. We made it before the rest of Kyle's family, so we visited with Brandon and his pet goats Lefty & Pancho for a while.
I was a little bummed that we didn't have time for a wine tasting on the way, so Brandon without hesitation set one up just for me. So sweet!
Spoiled I tell ya!
Brandon and his wife, Shona, own and operate the entire restaurant and inn which is pretty incredible. I loved the way everything was decorated, here's a picture of our room!

Once Kyle's family arrived we all went out to a restaurant nearby for dinner (Brandon's was closed for the night!) called Nick's Cove. It's a favorite of Brandon and Shona's because you can eat inside the boathouse at the end of the dock. Look at this view!!
Hello Tomales Bay!
The boat house was SO COOL inside. It had a phone where the kitchen calls you when your order is ready, and most importantly had a wood burning stove that really kept the place warm since it was so cold outside! Would totally recommend this restaurant if you are in the area!
Since we got there right when the sun was setting we had to take pictures!
There was also a piano inside which really helped entertain the kiddos. 
The dinner was delicious and we had a great time visiting with everyone inside our own private boat shack! The kids did amazing even though we kept them out till 11:00! Emery was so exhausted that we were able to take her out of her car seat, lay her on the bed in the hotel, change her into pjs, and laid her in her pack-n-play all without her waking up! CRAZY!
The next morning, Brandon offered to cook breakfast for all of us before we headed out. Don thoroughly enjoyed cooking in the kitchen too, and man was the food DELICIOUS!!

California is beautiful and the pictures you took were amazing! Loved seeing Brandon's restaurant and inn, and can't believe how amazing Emery did being out that late! What a wonderful trip!
Eating inside the Boathouse looks like quite the experience. And the sunset...wow! I love all the water views there and along Highway 1. My favorite picture is Emery dancing with Caleb and the expression on her face...priceless! Great family/cousin shots too. You had such incredible weather!!!
